Here is exactly how the money works. CONVINI VIP members ($99–$399 per year) get included tows to a partner shop — 1–4 per year depending on tier, up to 5–35 miles each — plus a 5–10% discount on repair labor on the Plus, Elite, and Platinum tiers. If you are not a member, you pay our standard published tow rate — the same rate the online quote builder shows — and you still get priority scheduling at the shop because we delivered the vehicle.
Each partner shop is its own business. It quotes the repair before work begins, sets its own prices, and backs its own work under its own warranty terms. Roadside Towing & Recovery Inc provides the tow, the coordination through the CONVINI app, and the member pricing — we do not perform the repair, and we do not mark up the shop's bill.

How it works
- Call for a Tow: Tell our dispatcher what happened and whether you want a partner shop. If you are a VIP member, we check your remaining included tows on the spot.
- Choose the Shop: We suggest the nearest partner shop that handles your kind of repair, or you pick one from the directory. Non-members get a price before the truck rolls.
- Priority Drop-Off: The shop is expecting the vehicle and puts it on the schedule with priority. It diagnoses the problem and sends you a written estimate.
- Approve and Repair: You approve the estimate directly with the shop. VIP labor discounts are applied on the shop's invoice; the shop's warranty terms cover the work.
Frequently asked questions
Is the tow to a partner shop free?
It can be. One free tow per customer, no membership needed: request it in the Roadside app (the Roadside Emergency Management App), acknowledge the offer, and when your repair order at an in-network partner shop is $750 or more before tax, we cover up to the first $100 of a standard tow of a small or medium-size car — up to 5 miles inside the I-270 loop or within 5 miles of the shop. VIP members also get included tows: VIP members get included tows to a partner shop (1–4 per year depending on tier, up to 5–35 miles); everyone else pays our standard published rate and gets priority scheduling at the shop — unless the job qualifies for the free tow with a $750+ repair.
What if I want to use my own mechanic?
No problem. We tow to any destination you choose at our standard published rate. VIP included tows are measured to the nearest participating facility, so a tow to a non-partner shop is billed at the standard rate.
Who actually does the repair?
An independent shop in the Alpha Automotive partner network — never Roadside Towing & Recovery Inc. The shop quotes the job, does the work, bills you directly, and backs the work under its own warranty terms.
What types of repairs do partner shops handle?
General mechanical repair, brakes, engine and transmission work, electrical diagnosis, heating and AC, tires and alignment, maintenance, and collision and body repair. Not every shop does every job, which is why our dispatcher matches the vehicle to the shop.
Do I have to be a VIP member to use a partner shop?
No. Anyone we tow can go to a partner shop and gets priority scheduling there. Membership adds the included tows, the 5–10% labor discount on Plus, Elite, and Platinum, and rental days on Elite and Platinum.
