Downtown Columbus packs office towers, the Statehouse, the Arena District and a growing number of apartments into a grid ringed by I-70, I-71, I-670 and State Route 315. For a tow company that means parking garages, event-night surface lots and one-way streets. Most downtown calls we take are cars stuck in structured parking with a dead battery or locked keys, vehicles that will not start after a game or concert, and breakdowns on the freeway ring. From our Harrisburg Pike yard just southwest of downtown, trucks typically arrive in 20–40 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How quickly can a tow truck reach downtown Columbus?
Typically 20–40 minutes. The truck comes up from the southwest side on the freeway ring and exits closest to your block, then works through the one-way streets to reach you. Rush hour and event traffic are the big variables, and the dispatcher builds them into the estimate. Tell us the street address or garage name and the entrance you are nearest, since a garage can have several. Say whether the car is on a street-level deck or a lower level so the right truck is sent.
Can you tow a car out of a downtown parking garage?
Yes, that is what our low-clearance units are for. Standard flatbeds do not fit under most garage ceilings, so for parking garage recovery we send equipment built for low clearance and tight ramps. Give dispatch the garage name, the level and space number if you know it, and the clearance posted at the entrance. If the car only needs a jump or a door opened, the driver handles it in the space.
My car won't start after a game or concert downtown. What should I do?
Call dispatch before the lot empties out if you can, and tell us which lot or garage you are in and which venue you attended, because event traffic clogs the nearby streets for a while after the crowd leaves. The driver may need to wait for the exits to clear before reaching you. A jump start fixes most of these; if the car needs a shop, we tow it home or to the shop you pick.
What if I break down on I-70 or I-71 through downtown?
The downtown split carries heavy traffic in tight lanes, so if the car still moves, get it onto the shoulder or the next ramp, flashers on, seat belt fastened. Stopped in a lane with no way out? Call 911 first and let police protect the scene. Then call us with the highway, direction and nearest exit, and we will load the car and clear it from the ring as quickly as it can be done safely.
A car is blocking my downtown space or garage entrance. Can you move it?
On a public street, no; only a Columbus Division of Police officer can order that tow, so call their non-emergency line. In a private garage or lot, the owner or its management company can have an unauthorized car removed if the Ohio-required signs are posted, and we handle that kind of private-property towing with documentation for each vehicle. If your own car has disappeared from a downtown lot, check the posted sign for the tow company.
Where does my car go from downtown, and how is the price worked out?
You decide: a dealer, a shop, your home, or one of our partner repair shops. Our Harrisburg Pike lot is only a short drive away if the car needs to wait for a day, and storage there is billed per day. The dispatcher prices the tow from our rate card and confirms it before hookup; garage recoveries are quoted the same way. We accept credit cards, debit cards and cash.
